The Limelight Stella ($58,500) will be exclusively available in China and Hong Kong in February, and the rest of the world from April.

The Piaget Limelight Stella watch is known for being the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s first-ever complication made exclusively for women, and its latest edition makes a striking statement in bold scarlet – a colour associated with joy, passion and courage (and suitably apt for Chinese New Year plus other festive occasions too).

Featuring a large moon phase in red paired with a crimson alligator leather strap, the ultra-thin 36mm 18K rose gold timepiece has 14 sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds on the mother-of-pearl dial and another 126 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel.

Horology enthusiasts will be pleased to know that it is powered by an in-house 584P self-winding movement (marvel at it through the sapphire crystal back). What this means: While a standard moon phase lags one day behind every two and a half years, the Calibre 584P ensures that this elegant watch only requires a one-day correction after 122 years. Now that’s pure precision.
